It's bullshit. Incest happened in the Bible, and Mary was 14 when she got preggers, isn't the government supposed to be based on Christian principles?

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."
-Treaty of Tripoli, from 1797.

So, no, not really.

OP asked if it was legal, not if it happened in the bible. Mary getting pregnant at 14 has nothing to do with incest. And no, the Guberment is not based on Christian principles:

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ...." and Article VI specifies that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." The modern concept of a wholly secular government is sometimes credited to the writings of English philosopher John Locke, but the phrase "separation of church and state" in this context is generally traced to a January 1, 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson, addressed to the Danbury Baptist Association in Connecticut, and published in a Massachusetts newspaper. Echoing the language of the founder of the first Baptist church in America, Roger Williamswho had written in 1644 of "[A] hedge or wall of separation between the garden of the church and the wilderness of the world" Jefferson wrote, "I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.

Get your facts straight so you are not talking out your ass.

I must disagree with you when you say Mary getting knocked up had nothing to do with incest. If God is the father of us all wouldn't that mean he fucked his daughter to produce his son.

Don't forget the Treaty of Tripoli from 1797. The first line on Article 11 from the treaty outright says that the US government was not founded on the Christian religion in any sense. While it was a treaty, and not a law, it does serve as a good example of the actual mindset of many of the 'founding fathers'.

Yes, but so is sodomy in several states. What happens behind closed doors before consenting adults is NOBODY'S busines.

Illegality depends upon report of the action. If everyone approves and wants it to happen (and isn't going to report), then it is hard to see how anyone could get in trouble.

Go for it.

In most places the legality of incest is not dependent on the willingness of the parties. You are thinking about rape. Incest is not dependent on age, except for penalties if one party is much older than the other.

The term, "separation of church and state" is not in the USC, as you imply, no matter who coined it. the thoughts of private individuals regarding the same has no bearing on the letter and rule of the constitution, no matter who they may be.

while incest is a crime in many states, its generally only used in conjunction with chi..ld molesta...tion cases. It is used as a tool to add charges to the aggressor, and enable greater jail sentences. I would say that for the most part if 2 consenting adults who are related decide to have sex the cops are not going to bust down your door and toss you in jail.

There are levels of incest and are most commonly associated with the legality/validity of marriages. In common law there are valid marriages, voidable marriages, and void marriages. A marriage between an a male and a non blood relative female is valid. A marriage between a male and a first or second female cousin are valid, but voidable if the at the time of marriage the blood relationship of the 2 parties is not known, meaning a legal divorce (dissolution of marriage) is not required to end the contract of marriage. A marriage between a male and his sister/daughter/mother/grandmother is void, which means it is not a legal marriage are all.
In short, you are not going to goto jail for banging your cousin, or sister for that matter. As long as she is of age and mentally competent your fine.

seriously people act like they're being watched all the time.
no one sees what you're doing at home.
my brother and I fuck at least once per day, even though he's married!
sad that a lot of people out there are like "should I bang my brother/sister/dad/mom/etc." if you're both willing just DO IT.
~oh daddy that's the spot keep going UNGH CUMMING <3~

Incest wasn't criminally illegal in England until 1910 (it was against Church law). The Salvation Army were so upset by hetero-incestuous relationships that campaigned to have the law changed and make it criminal. Nice people in the S.A.
In some places it is legal to marry a first cousin, but not in others.
Nowhere I've heard of is it 'allowed' to have sex with a parent, aunt/uncle or brother/sister. The problems arise with some of the more complicated relations such as step-daughters and sons.

There are no laws in Britain preventing sex between stepchildren/stepparents/stepsiblings.
Likewise first cousins is legal in Britain.

But there are/is: parts of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 relate to those living under the same roof/same household and raise the age of consent from 16 to 18...

If you want an answer to whether or not anything is legal, OP, you must first specify what country you live in, because different countries have different ideas on law. There is no universal law to apply to the world.

Sadly yes, in most places. Some US states allow first cousin incest in some situations (apparently due to some Jewish religious law that marriages between first cousins are legal), but sibling incest and intergenerational parent/grandparent/offspring is illegal pretty much everywhere. Personally I find incest between parents or grandparents and their (grand)kids disgusting, but still believe the law should allow any consenting sexual activity between any legal age adults, even if it grosses me out. I see nothing "gross" about sibling or cousin incest however, though I think the risk of genetic diseases and birth defects should limit any such sexual activity to a non-reproductive, recreational nature only. If you and your sister or cousin are both of legal age and you want to fuck, then by god fuck each others brains out - but wear a condom, please! You're unlikely to have any legal problems if you're both consenting adults and no pregnancies occur (unless you don't agree on the terms of your relationship and have a bad "break up")... so most likely the law will never be a concern. But you need to be extremely careful about making sure you both want the same thing, that you agree on the boundaries of your sexual activity with each other and with other people, and be VERY serious about contraception. And since it is a crime pretty much everywhere, make damn sure you don't talk to the wrong people about your activities or produce evidence like videos (or inbred babies). A consenting adult incestuous couple who is very clear on the terms of their relationship should have no real problems. But be aware you're walking a tightwire of each other's emotions and discovery by unsympathetic relatives or "friends"... Personally, not a lifestyle I'd want to maintain on an ongoing basis. But a thoroughly discussed one-time fuck or short affair, you might be able to make some magic happen.
